Maithry Cancer Care: Providing Free Cancer Treatment to Those in Need
Maithry Cancer Care is a nonprofit organization that provides free cancer treatment to those in need in the Thiruvananthapuram area of India. Founded by Latha and shylaja supported by members of Maithry, Maithry Cancer Care has treated more than 20000 patients since October 2012, and all services are provided at no cost to patients or their families. All equipment, medicine, lab tests, and other related costs are paid out of pocket by Maithry’s members, who sacrifice their own money to provide these critical services to people who are suffering from the disease.
Story behind it
Maithry Cancer Care was started in October 2012 with support from members of Maithry. The idea for the cancer care center came about when the founders saw how many people were affected by cancer and how difficult it was for them to get treatment. They decided to provide free cancer treatment to those who couldn’t afford it. Today, Maithry Cancer Care provides free treatment to poor patients and also offers support to caregivers.

Maithry cancer care has been working hard with the help of our members and volunteers to help individuals in our area.
